Iverson posted four messages late Monday on his Twitter account telling fans he expected to overcome the most recent obstacles in his life. “To my fans: You all know that my life isn’t perfect. Allen Iverson has had a bad couple of weeks (actually a bad last 12 months to be honest). It didn’t get any better today when Stephen A. Smith wrote an article chronicling his gambling and possible alcohol abuse. His wife is divorcing him and his time in the NBA seems to have run out.

Allen Iverson has had a difficult couple months, and today we may have an answer for his troubles, or we could be foreshadowing the worse to come. According to many NBA sources, the four time NBA scoring champion is facing extreme gambling and alcohol problems. These issues could explain Iverson’s erratic behavior as of late, including his recent semi-retirement from the Philadelphia 76′ers.
